Real words from real visitors — Melbourne's own

"

A gelato and tiramisu specialist unlike anything else in the CBD. The tiramisu is self-serve by the gram — you can mix and match flavours. I went for the Oreo and it was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, just rich and smooth. The vibe inside feels like stepping into someone's grandmother's living room, in the best possible way.

"

Came here on a late Friday after dinner and it was the perfect end to the evening. The tiramisu is fresher than anything I've had at a restaurant — you scoop it yourself and they weigh it at the counter. The gelato display is absolutely stunning. Definitely one of Melbourne's hidden gems.

"

The atmosphere is genuinely special — vintage frames on every wall, lace curtains, mismatched furniture, soft golden light. It feels warm and lived-in. The banana cream gelato was incredible. We stayed way longer than planned just soaking it all in. Will absolutely be back.

"

Brought friends visiting from Sydney and they couldn't believe a place like this existed. The self-serve tiramisu concept is genius — you pay by weight so you can go as indulgent as you want. The strawberry seasonal was my favourite. Staff were lovely, the whole space feels like a little escape from the city outside.

"

Queen St BB does something rare — it makes you want to slow down. No rush, no noise, just good dessert and a beautiful room. I paired the pistachio gelato with a glass of rosé and it was genuinely one of the nicest evenings I've had in Melbourne. The sort of place you tell everyone about quietly.

"

I've lived near this street for two years and only just discovered this place. The dark chocolate gelato with espresso on the side — absolutely perfect. The tiramisu flavours rotate so there's always something new. It's become my regular late-night spot. Nothing quite like it in the CBD.
